The Diamond Club at Nationals Park!

I have to send out a big thank you to the family who donated the Nationals tickets to the RS annual fund action this past spring. Julie and I had the winning bid for the ticket package which included four Diamond Club Passes and great seats just behind home plate. With four tickets in hand, we decided to make it an adult evening out, so we arranged for a sitter and invited our dear friends Steve and Melissa B. to join us for the game. It was a great night and we had a lot of fun catching up over beer, good food and a ball game! Too bad the Nats lost, but we still had a blast!

One Rough Hockey Game

My adult league hockey game this past Friday night turned out to be one of the roughest hockey games I’ve had in quite some time. They say you tell how hard you’re playing by the amount of rubber left on the blade of your stick and also by the amount of blood you leave on the ice. Well folks, I had both. A ton of shots, several assists, a goal, two or three blocked shots and even a skate blade wound to the back of the leg! Even though he caught me up high on the leg, the cut wasn’t that deep thanks to my wrap around pads, so I’m not too worried about needing stitches or it getting infected. However, I do hope that the blood washes out of my socks. Anyway, it was an awesome game and an even better win!

Dylan’s 6th Birthday!

Here are the pictures from our son’s 6th birthday party, held this year at Dynamic Gymnastics in Arlington. This years theme, which just happens to be his new favorite Sunday morning cartoon series, was ‘Paw Patrol’! We had a great turn out of kids this year. There were several of his friends from the neighborhood and almost his entire kindergarten class also showed up to help celebrate. It was truly a good day for all… Happy Birthday Dylan!!

Boating Season Begins!

I am happy to announce that boating season for our family has officially begun. I had to spend a little more time this spring getting the boat ready due to the harsher than average winter, but all went well and we are ready for what looks to be a great summer of boating. Dylan’s 4th Birthday Party!

We had our sons birthday party at J.W. Tumbles again this year, but with a new theme… PLANES! Funny how kids will see something like an animated movie and latch on to it for a year or longer. Dylan is a huge Dusty fan and therefor wanted his party to have the Planes theme. We had a nice gathering with a mix of both school friends/parents and some neighborhood kids. As you can tell form the smile… Dylan had a blast!!

Dylan’s Halloween Party

Julie and I took the morning off so that we could spend it with Dylan and his preschool class for their annual Halloween party. It was so much fun to see him interacting with his friends at school and he did a great job during the school parade through the neighborhood. If you cant tell, he went as Sully from the movie “Monsters, Inc.” And as you can see so did Julie…!!

Florida Keys Fishing Trip

Me and the boys spent a week in Marathon Key, Florida doing some off shore fishing this past week and I must say… I Had A Blast!! There is nothing better than catching and eating fresh fish every night!
