Panoramic Photograph – Tucker’s Point Beach Club, Bermuda

I took a bunch of panoramic photos while we were on vacation in Bermuda last month, with the hopes that one of them would be nice enough to print out for a 36″ wide frame I have downstairs. Out of the thirty plus photos I shot in this format, I only come up with maybe four I could use. I’ll have to print each one of them out to see how they will actually look in the frame.

Tucker’s Point Hotel / Dive & Water Sports Centre on Castle Harbour – Tucker’s Point Club, Bermuda

As promised, here is the second installment of vacation photos from beautiful Bermuda. This set features our guided walking tour of St. George’s and some of the oldest buildings on the island. We even got a tour of St. Peter’s Chapel which was built in 1612 and some of the grave sites of the very first settlers… there is a lot of history on this little 26 mile long island. We have already seen almost every inch of every Fort on the island, so it was nice to change it up and see some of the sites that are way off the beating path. We hope you enjoy the photos and look for us to post some videos from the trip soon!

Swimming in from the surf at the beach club – Tucker’s Point, Bermuda

Here is the first installment of photos from our Fall family vacation to Bermuda. As always, we had a great time on the island and this trip the weather was just outstanding! This week we spent a lot of time at the beach club and Dylan tried his level best to wear out the kids pool, but we also found time to take a nice walking tour of St. Georges with one of the islands most knowable historians.

We didn’t have a chance to do any diving on this trip, but Julie and I did get in a couple rounds of golf. We even talked Stephanie into babysitting for us one night so we could take advantage of a nice dinner out at The Point Restaurant, one of Bermuda’s finest dining spots! I’ll be adding another post with more photos shortly… and keep an eye out for my videos from the trip, they’ll be added soon too!

Master Dylan at the helm of ‘M/V Our Pleasure’ – Occoquan, VA.

With the end of the summer just on the horizon, I thought it might be appropriate to post some photos from our 2012 boating season. I didn’t take as many photos this year as I normally do, and to be honest, it didn’t feel like we did as much boating as we have in years past either… guess I’ll have to make up for it next season!

Dylan at the wheel of the kids pretend school bus rides – McLean, VA.

With all the nice weather we’ve been having lately, Julie decided to take Dylan out to one of the popular kids park over in McLean. It’s the kind of place that is just packed with kids whenever the temperature goes above 60 degrees. Dylan had a blast and here are some photos from his adventure.

Dylan The Fireman

Dylan and Dad checking out one big Fire Truck… Oh sorry, I meant Urban Rescue Vehicle!

Arlington County Fire Department held their annual fire safety open house recently and Dylan, Julie and I made an appearance at our local fire station on 10th Street. It was a nice day for the middle of October and all the doors at the station where open, but once we got inside we realized that most of the fire engines were out on a call. Oh well, it still turned out to be a fun day and Dylan even got his picture taken with some of the fire fighters from Engine Company #4!

Bermuda Vacation 2011

And then Dylan says…”flip me over in an hour or if you happen to smell flesh burning.”

The more time we spend in Bermuda, the more we want to go back… go figure! It’s one of those places’s that you just can’t seem get enough of no matter how hard you try! This trip we brought along our son’s nanny Stephanie, to help look after him and give Julie and I a chance to possibly do some diving or play a couple rounds of golf. I must say, it was another beautiful week in paradise and Dylan had the beach bum look really working for himself by the time we had to leave. I’ll add some videos from our trip later, but until then here are the best-of-the-best trip photos to hold you over… enjoy!

National Harbor Marina

:: Tags: Boating, Friends, Photo

We made a Sunday afternoon run up to National Harbor for a dinner outing and when we contacted the harbor master he told us to tie up both of our boats in one slip. My reply was… “it better be a pretty deep slip, we’ll need about 65 feet worth to fit both of our boats!” Guess what… they both fit with only about a foot or so of my bow and anchor roller hanging out past the piling.

During our last visit to Toronto to see family, Julie and I decided to venture into the city to check out the NHL Hockey Hall of Fame. Here are a few photos from the tour including one of yours truly with the crown jewel of hockey… Lord Stanley’s Cup!

Landscaping Project…

Just a few photos of the yard after the trimming, planting and mulching project we completed this spring. Wow, I sure am happy that the grass came back after the worker who put in the patio damn near destroyed it last winter!
