Dylan and his little red wagon – Harbor Ridge Country Club
Here is a short video clip of Dylan bonding with his little red wagon on the golf cart path at Harbor Ridge Country Club. He really has an obsession with anything that has wheels on it… I know, it’s a boy thing!!

Dylan enjoying his Grandparents warm pool in sunny West Palm, Florida
Easter vacation in West Palm was a whole lot of fun this year! The weather was great, the pool was warm and Dylan is finally at the age where he can mix and mingle with the family better. His speech has improved greatly and his ability to communicate has made it easier to ‘let go’ so to speak and not worry quite so much about him all the time.
Dylan enjoys seeing his cousins greatly and has really started to bond with them. He has also become much more comfortable in the pool… although he is not swimming with out a flotation device yet, he is making progress with his swimming skills. Just you wait and see, we’ll make a diver out of him yet!

Dylan driving his new Cadillac EXT around on the street! – Arlington, VA
A big thank you to Dylan’s Grandparents, Barbara and Ray, for the awesome birthday gift! I wasn’t sure if this was going to be an age appropriate gift for him, but boy did he take a liking to it right away. He still needs to work on his driving skills, but there is time for that next summer when things warm up.
Dad had the hard part… when the box says “some assemble required”, they mean clear your schedule for the rest of the day! It took me two hours, with power tools, to put this thing together and apply all the decals. And what sucks is I couldn’t even fit in the thing to test drive it! Oh well, I hope you enjoy it Dylan… Happy Birthday Big Boy!!

Dylan sharing cheese pizza with his friends at JW Tumbles – Arlington, VA
This year Julie wanted to change things up a little for Dylan’s birthday party and have it somewhere besides our house. For ease of parking, clean-up and since Dylan and his friends are much more mobile we thought renting a playroom would be best. So we rented the Play Zone at JW Tumbles in Arlington for his party and it was a huge hit with the kids!
Most of the family, including both sets of Grand Parents, were in town to share in all the festivities and there was no shortage of kids either. Along with the neighborhood kids that Dylan knows, quite a few of his preschool classmates were able to attend as well. It was a great party and Dylan enjoyed the fun with his friends immensely! Thank you to everyone who was able to attend and please enjoy the photos from the event!

Dylan and Daddy trying to figure out how a fire truck goes together – Arlington, VA
These are some photos from Christmas morning here in Arlington with Dylan and the family. Last year Dylan really didn’t get the whole Christmas present thing, but this year he was eager to get down to business and tear into some wrapping paper! He reminded me a lot of his Uncle Mike, who can be late for everything else, but on Christmas day, he is always the first one pulling presents out from under the tree! I had the tough job of putting all of Dylan’s toys together, but when the day was done I believe everyone got what they truly wanted. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year everyone!

Julie, Dylan and the kids playing in the pool – South Seas Resort, Captiva, Florida
This year, as for every other year now, we have been making the trip down to Captive Florida to spend Thanksgiving with Julie’s family and all of her relatives. I’ll have to say, it is a nice getaway from the cold and dreary weather of Northern Virginia! This year we rented a house on the resort (instead of staying at the condo’s), so that Julie’s side of the family could all stay together in one place.
It was very nice of Bruce to put this trip together and along with the house being great, the pool in the back yard was a huge hit for the kids… especially Dylan! It was also great seeing all the cousins, nieces and nephews and we were really glad to hear that everyone has been doing well over the past couple of years. We look forward to seeing you all again very soon. Until then… Cheers!!

Dylan at the National Zoo for Ingrid’s Birthday Party – Washington, DC
A friend of Dylan’s had a birthday party at the zoo this weekend and Dylan, being mister popular that he is, had to make an appearance. It was a really nice 4th birthday party for a little girl named Ingrid and believe me, she was the popular one today! Here are a couple of pictures from the festivities… enjoy!

My Boy Dylan… working it like he owns it!
This weekend we took Dylan to the Arlington County Fire Department’s annual open house at Fire Station #6. Dylan has become a huge fire truck guy, as are most boys his age, and we thought it would be nice to let him get up close and personal with some real fire equipment. After two hours of running around and climbing on everything in sight he was wiped out! Here are a couple of pictures from the day… enjoy!

9/30/2012 – “Dylan At The Beach” (Tucker’s Point Beach Club, Bermuda)
As promised in my last post, here are a couple of my home videos from our last trip to Bermuda. I have several more yet to edit, but I think I might just save those for my travel/trip section. But until I get around to putting that project together, here are a couple of good ones I just finished.
The first video is a montage of ‘Dylan time’ at the beach… we really have to thank Stephanie for helping us out with Dylan all week! The second is a short clip of the view from our Golf Villa over looking Castle Harbour… an early morning scene fades into an early evening one with a nice full moon to finish it off. We hope you enjoy them!

Tucker’s Point Hotel / Dive & Water Sports Centre on Castle Harbour – Tucker’s Point Club, Bermuda
As promised, here is the second installment of vacation photos from beautiful Bermuda. This set features our guided walking tour of St. George’s and some of the oldest buildings on the island. We even got a tour of St. Peter’s Chapel which was built in 1612 and some of the grave sites of the very first settlers… there is a lot of history on this little 26 mile long island. We have already seen almost every inch of every Fort on the island, so it was nice to change it up and see some of the sites that are way off the beating path. We hope you enjoy the photos and look for us to post some videos from the trip soon!
