“Dylan spending way too much time in grandpa’s swimming pool” – West Palm, FL.
Here are some photos from our 2015 trip to West Palm, Florida for our long Easter Holiday weekend. This year, as we do every year, we spent a nice restful long weekend with Julies parents at Harbor Ridge Country Club for their annual grand parents & grand kids weekend gala. This year Dylan was old enough to ride on some of the more advanced rides and even went on a long zip line with me! I have a video of that I will post later. The food and the fireworks show where the highlights for me, but I think grandpa’s swimming pool was the highlight for Dylan.

“Dylan taking on a full sized BGR Burger Joint hamburger!” – Arlington, VA.
Dylan has finally graduated from the kids slider meal at The Burger Joint to the full sized adult cheese burger! Yes I am a proud Papa! I guess it’s kind of weird that I would get excited about something like this, but my sons eating habits are something I have to deal with on a daily basis and for him to like anything other than chicken nuggets is a blessing.
Dylan’s class had a field trip today to the Kettler Capitals Iceplex to watch the Washington Capitals practice and then try some ice skating of their own. I was able to get off from work to accompany Dylan and his class for the event and also managed to snapped off a couple of photos.

Here are a couple of photos from my sons 5th birthday party. One of his presents this year from Uncle Mike was a Washington Capitals/Alex Ovechkin hockey jersey that was personally signed by NHL Great… Peter Bondra. Oh and yes… the theme this year was ‘Planes: Fire & Rescue’! Happy birthday Dylan!!

Some how Dylan talked his nanny into bringing the slot car race track upstairs this afternoon and helping him set it up. He told her that he wanted to surprise me when I got home from work and wanted to race cars with me because he was fast! It’s nice racing slot cars with your 5 year old son after work… it makes all the unpleasant work crap of the day fade away.
While at my parents house for New Years dinner, Dylan found my brothers motorcycles in the garage where he stores them for the winter. He told us that he needed us to buy him one so he could learn how to ride. My brother said that when he gets a little older and a little bigger he would take care of that. I hope he can take care of the medical bills as well.
I was startled out of my early morning pre-coffee comma by what sounded like a bomb exploding in the back supply room at work. Looks like the shop will be needing a replacement air compressor for the new year! Cant say I’ve ever seen one come apart like this before, but I was assured that the oil was changed in it less than a month ago…!?
