This year for Mother’s Day, Julies father Bruce, came up with the fantastic idea to take everyone to brunch downtown at the very exclusive Cosmos Club. Bruce, being a member of the Yale Club, gets special VIP privileges at two dozen or so other exclusive private clubs around the world. So, with both sets of grandparents in town for Mother’s Day we decided to dress up and go enjoy a top notch meal in a fabulous venue with three wonderful mothers!! “The Cosmos Club<\/a>, located in Washington, D.C., was founded by John Wesley Powell in 1878. It is a private social club for men and women distinguished in science, literature and the arts or public service. Members come from virtually every profession that has anything to do with scholarship, creative genius or intellectual distinction.”
